About Us

Established in 1986 as Robert N. Auld-A.I.A., the firm changed its name to the Auld Partnership with the introduction of William Auld as partner in 1998.

Our firm prides itself on personal service to its clients with both principals actively involved in every aspect of our projects. The design process relies heavily on the collaborative effort of both architect and client to achieve the desired project goals. We design the project together, with the client benefitting from the vast design expertise of our personnel.

Since its origin our firm has always felt it important to look at the ecological impact of the built environment and as a member of the United States Green Building Council we focus on those design strategies that are environmentally responsible. We feel a successfully designed, environmentally sustainable, high performance building provides not only obvious benefits to the environment but also financial and experiential benefits to its inhabitants.

As a proponent of Integrated Design, we have developed relationships with Environmental Engineers, MEP design professionals, Structural engineers, Landscape design firms and General Contractors that we collaborate with when necessary during even the earliest phases of design.

Our firm handles a diversity of project types, including single and multi-family residential, commercial office buildings, medical arts facilities, industrial units, retail buildings and interiors, commercial space planning and sports facilities.

We have received award recognition for our work including the Land Development and Planning award from the Somerset County Planning Board as well as the “Outstanding Volunteer of the Year Award” for our continuing work with the Raritan Valley Habitat for Humanity.

Our partners also offer diversity in their design and planning skills.
